LokoHelp® Treadmill Therapy

Locomotion therapy using a treadmill can help patients with a range of neurological disorders such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease or paraplegia regain the ability to walk in an upright position.

During the journey back to walking ability, our focus is on your personal mobility and speed. Patients are secured in a special harness to ensure their safety; if necessary legs can be secured in a device similar to a ski boot. These boots are connected to an electromagnetic gait trainer (end effector). The gait trainer can be used when patients are unable to make steps independently.

The effectiveness of this form of therapy lies in the continuous repetitive motion.
